The Foray Into Mask Making

When the pandemic hit and business was suddenly effected we were not sure what we were going to do.  As we sat back and watched the tragedy unfold, it became clear that masks were needed by everyone everywhere and we happened to have the skills and the materials on hand to create masks.  Thus our signature mask was born made from what we had on hand, our Recycled PET shoe dust bags.

We are honored to have supported so many people with our masks, both essential and non-essential workers.  You can buy masks for yourself and opt to donate a mask to an essential worker here on our site.  We add the donated masks to the site so the workers can pick them up and we ship them to them free of charge.

As the world is getting into the swing of a new normal and it is becoming quite clear we may be wearing masks for a while we realized we are going to need more than just one mask and isn't it always fun to accessorize an outfit?  We think so.  It is a silver lining folks.......

In our latest venture we have collaborated with Designer Angelica Little and her label Hot Lips to bring you masks to lighten the mood.

Angelica Little started making Hot Lips non medical masks instinctually when the current health situation occurred. She began by up-cycling designer shoe dust bags with logos into masks in mid March 2020 and then progressed into working with fun fabrics. This latest creative venture is a natural expression of her lifelong love of textiles and design.

The design was inspired by the 70’s television character from MASH, Margaret Houlihan, who was always a fav! Hundreds of Hot Lips masks have already been donated, and Angelica is continuing to donate as well as collaborate with various small businesses to help generate sales in these hard times.  We are thrilled to be working with Angelica and hope you love the levity her masks bring.
